Yoga Sutras of Patanjali translated by Yogi Kalinath - Chapter 3, Verse 54
Pada 3, Sutra 54
Sanskrit Verse
Taarakam sarva-visayam sarvathaa-visayam akramam ceti vivekajam jnaanam
Translation
This knowledge born of discernment is liberating and is omni-objective, omni-temporal and non-sequential.
Interpretation
Knowledge born of discernment (Viveka) is liberating because it is transcendental, it allows us to traverse the ocean of nescience, the act of superimposing eternity on phenomenal existence.
From this standpoint, all objects in space and time are experienced simultaneously in the Here and Now beyond any modifications, i.e. one perceives the underlying Reality as is.
Reflection
Constant meditation and awareness on the discriminating evidence of the distinction between the ephemeral and the perennial leads to direct perception of Reality termed Intuitional Knowledge. It is complete knowledge beyond the intellect. It is the balcony view based in eternity.
