Yoga Sutras of Patanjali translated by Yogi Kalinath - Chapter 1, Verse 40

Pada 1, Sutra 40
Sanskrit Verse
Paramanu-parama-mahattvanto’sya vashikarah
Translation
The mastery of this meditation extends from the most minute to the greatest magnitude.
Interpretation
When the Yogi gains mastery of the mind through meditative absorption, he/she is able to concentrate their mind on the minutest detail (to the atomic) and on the grandest of object such as the Universe. With mastery, the mind of the Yogi is no longer restricted nor limited.
One will experience many challenges and distractions before the mind and concentration is mastered. The journey into awareness, into mindfulness truly starts with becoming aware of how distracted our mind is.
Only when we master our mind can we master our life. With the mastery of the psyche comes psychic abilities that are under the dominion of the Yogi.
