Due to the difference of perception of different minds, the same object can appear different.
Mind and objects are independent from one other. There is the object that exists in space and time and the mind that perceives it. This also explains that we are in fact experiencing the world through both a subjective and objective manner. In the subjective sense we perceive the object in relation to our memory, subconscious impressions and propensities, and our likes and dislikes. This is the reason for many individuals (different minds) perceiving the same object differently.
In effect we see things as we are and not as they are in their pure objective state. One must go beyond sense perception and mind fluctuation impressions in order to know any object in its own true nature.
